Animal Cruelty (dog)
I write this post with a lot of heartbreak.My neighbours has a lovely golden Labrador and it is tied up 24/7. I and a few others have tried talking to them but they just laugh it off. The bitch that's Pebble, is not taken for walks or allowed any freedom. It shits and pukes and soosoos in the same place. She is tied in the small gulley of a backyard and just has the walls for company at which she stares dully..All this had sort of become a habit for her and me. But yesterday something happened that jolted me from my stupor.........Story follows.... To continue from yesterday's post....Pebble, as I wrote is constantly tied up and any advice that we gave these neighbours was like water off a duck's back.But yesterday I saw something that got my hackles up. Our bedroom window looks out into their carpark and Pebble's kennel is a low roofed shed in the corner which she hardly uses as she is tied in the back gulley.Two belligerent looking me were holding down Pebble, her mouth was tied and her tail was twisted back viciously. A stud was being goaded to mate with her.Pebble has come in heat and they were breeders.Pebble being only two years or less wasn't really aware or what I cannot say. She kept sitting down and these guys would raise her up twisting her tail to expose her bum and push the stud on her, make him sniiff her heat.It took me maybe fiveminutes to take in all this , then I raised hell. I shouted at them to stop this rape immediately but they sniggered and said this is how it was done. I threatened to call SPCA but to no aail. As I spoke they continued their business and the mating actually took place. Pebble stood stuck to the stud . Lord and master kept sushing me up and gave me the non-interfereing neighbour theory. I turned on him because I felt so helpless and ...and.... It was late and I couldn't get any numbers..CUPA or Karuna or Hebbal SPCA.In the morning I finally connected to one number and they directed me to one Shantakumar who deals with animal cruelty. He was prompt and came by afternoon. We went to their house and he warned them about their behaviour but they denied everything. In fact they refused to look at me.He has left his card with them and asked them to keep in touch. I am sure the matter ends there. Pebble is still tied up behind . I am sure she has concieved and there will be babies to sell....Can someone help me to help Pebble?Pleaseeee
